How it works
How does ParentLoop know my values?
A short intake when you sign up. Five core questions to get started; sixteen more if you want sharper answers. Edit any answer later in Settings.
Does the AI talk to my kid?
No. ParentLoop gives the answer to you. You’re the one who talks to your kid.
What if I disagree with the answer?
Flag it. The app learns and adjusts. You can also rewrite it in your own voice and the next answer leans toward that voice.
Notifications and sharing
When does someone in my household get notified?
Only when you click “We’ll try this” on an answer. Co-parents always get the ping. Grandparents only if you’ve turned that on in Settings (off by default).
Can I turn off notifications?
Yes, per device, in Settings.
Who can see my questions?
By default, only you. You can opt to share with co-parents or with grandparents in your household; each audience has its own toggle. Caregivers never see the household feed.
Privacy
Can I hide a specific question after I’ve asked it?
Yes. Every answer page has a hide-from-household-feed toggle.
Are crisis-flagged questions ever visible to other household members?
No, never. Crisis-flagged questions skip the feed unconditionally regardless of any sharing setting.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Account deletion removes everything: intake answers, questions, feedback signals.
Plans and limits
What’s on the free tier?
Five questions a month, one child, up to two parents in your household. Crisis routing is free on every plan.
Do I need to pay?
No. Upgrade only if you need more questions per month, more children, or want grandparents and caregivers in the loop.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings; your plan stays active through the end of the billing period.
Safety
What happens if my kid is asking about something serious?
A safety classifier runs before every answer. Crisis topics (suicide, self-harm, abuse, eating disorders, medical emergencies) skip the AI entirely and surface professional resources. Free on every plan.
Is the AI ever going to give my kid harmful advice?
The AI never speaks to your kid. ParentLoop gives you, the adult, an answer to consider. You stay the filter.
Your data
Do you train the AI on my answers?
No. Your intake, questions, and feedback are used to shape your future answers. They’re not used to train anyone else’s.
Where is my data stored?
On Neon Postgres, in the US region. Encrypted at rest and in transit.
Compared to other tools
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT doesn’t know your kid’s age, your values, or your household’s history. ParentLoop is the same kind of model with your family’s profile baked into every answer. Same hard question, different answer in your voice.
